v3 (current)

v3 changes two shots. The quiet moment in the middle is now the profit side of the graphic: “Let’s improve. Let’s do better. Let’s get better.”, with the profit line climbing a step on each phrase. It keeps v2’s gentle music ease and soft bed, and the music now swells back over the first beat of the next shot into the lift. The “pervasive” shot near the end is replaced by a new Go lesson moment from Shape reel 2: the labels “a” and “b” pop in beside the stones on the beat, then it dissolves into the end card.

v2 makes the quiet middle moment gradual instead of sudden. Over the bar before “greater loss” the music eases down and darkens, and a short dissolve takes us from Subject: Photography into the profit/loss graphic. Under his voice the music stays as a soft, low bed instead of stopping dead, then swells back up into the lift on the next callout. Everything else is the same as v1.

Experiment 18. Mai’s 33-second Upwork demo reel, cut to CozyVibes’ “Motivated To Create” (120 BPM). Every cut lands on a beat, and the strongest moments land on downbeats: the table-tennis hit with its comet tail, the word-formation branch, “1 Month” and the profit/loss callout. The music stops for the “greater loss” moment so his real voice can breathe, then comes back for the last two clips. The reel ends on a quiet end card: the same ping-pong ball drops in and lands as the dot after “Mai” on the final chord, hops twice and settles gold.
